Silke is by far one of the best instructors I have come across in over 20 years of dancing. Her uncanny ability to analyze what you are doing, then break it down to the smallest increment of a movement and feed corrective action back to you in a way you can understand and change that move is absolutely amazing. I have never met an instructor that has the ability to do this....she is unique and comprehensive in this way.
She is a delight to work with at every lesson. I walk away every time feeling I have learned something new and that what I learned can be put to immediate use on the dance floor. Encouraging, positive, charismatic, wonderful sense of humor, extremely knowledgeable are only a few of the characteristics and traits that describe her teaching style. If you are looking to increase your technical ability to dance....Silke is for you!

Since I began taking lessons with Silke, my dancing has noticeably improved. I am becoming a stronger dancer. She is able to quickly identify even the most subtle problems and will patiently guide me to resolve them.
Silke is able to offer as much insightful instruction to a beginning level dancer as to a very experienced dancer. Her winning combination of talent, enthusiasm for teaching, and professionalism are only matched by her considerable knowledge of ballroom dance and personal charm.
Whatever your level of experience, I highly recommend Silke as your instructor. You will see results!

After 17 years of dancing I turned to Silke to tune up my Latin. Now I look forward to each lesson---she's talented, warm and fun to work with. If you'd like your Latin dancing to both look good and feel good, Silke's your woman! Just don't wait 17 years :-).

Patient, perceptive, precise, positive and passionate Silke, a most wonderful dance teacher. Everything that others have said about her on this website is true. She can tell immediately what I need in order to improve my style and technique, and whether you are just starting to dance or have had years of experience she has an amazing number of ways to help you achieve your goals. She is always encouraging, always excited, always thinking of new and creative ways to teach, and always satisfied to see you improve

Take play dough out of the container and leave it out overnight. What have you got? A rigid, stiff piece of clay; devoid of any form or shape. That was me the day I began training with Silke. 6 weeks later, she and I not only were performing her choreographed “Cha Cha” in front of a 250-thousand television audience, we won this dance competition carrying nearly 70% of the voting! On lookers had asked how many years I had been dancing. Imagine the shock on their faces when I told them 6 weeks! Silke’s teaching, patience, and passion for dance is the sole reason for my success and it can happen to you. But it took a 100% commitment. You can’t be afraid to make a mistake in practice, because you will learn from it! I am living proof of that and can’t wait to do it again!

I do not know much about Silke and have only met her about 2 weeks ago...But I can tell you that I was charmed by her the very first time I laid my eyes on her. Her teaching methods are amazing...I have never seen anyone dance with so much passion and teach so many things while in a group lesson. I have tried hard to make her take me as a student, since she is so busy...And when I first had my private lesson with her, I was overwhelmed with happiness. She has a way of explaining everything that it makes sense even for a complete beginner like me. Silke has also provided me with references to other teachers who might be able to accommodate my schedule better (because I have a very chaotic schedule), but I do not want to take lessons from anyone but her. She is such a sweet person and so willing to help...Many people have talent, but it is a gift to be able to share that talent with your students and Silke is definitely able to do that. Words cannot possibly describe what a joy training with Silke is....

I have been taking lessons from Silke regularly for the past year. My partner David and I got our Rumba and Jive open routines from her, and we really like them. The routines are both fun and challenging. I've also enjoyed working on technique with Silke. She's very patient and always makes sure to correct critical mistakes.

Silke is the best dance instructor I've ever had. She can dissect problems I may be having with a step very quickly and easily, but moreover can explain to me very clearly what I'm doing wrong and how to correct it. I'm a very self conscious dancer and she did a great deal to make me feel less shy and she encouraged me to keep trying new movements, which I would have just assumed were way too difficult for me. She's patient, kind, intelligent, creative, talented and all of this shows in her teaching and dancing. I highly recommend trying a class with Silke. You will be hooked!"

I have been taking ballroom dance lessons for 2 and half years. I started going to Silke's Latin dance classes several months ago. It has been a blessing in Silke.s classes. Silke inspires student to a New level each time with style, grace and discipline and yet her class is always full of fun simultaneously with her gentle manner.
I am constantly learning something new and fine-tuning my Latin dance in Silke's class each time with much surprise.

Silke's emphasis on natural movement looks good without hip or knee pain. She is patient and perceptive. She sees what I'm doing wrong and shows me how to fix it in a way that I understand.

We enjoyed learning the International Latin from Silke, she gives us a lot details from holding, connection, hip movement etc and plenty of techniques.
Also the way she teaches in a very nice way and effectively.

I've been fortunate to have Silke as a dance teacher for the past couple of years. She is fun to work with, patient and understanding, and inspires me to do my best. Lessons are never boring. I would highly recommend her as a teacher.

Silke is an excellent dance instructor. She has the uncommon ability to adapt her teaching style to the three different types of learners. She is able to demonstrate movement well for visual learners, explain the details of a movement to auditory learners, and can effectively induce the correct movement when dancing with a student for kinesthetic learners.

Silke was able to make me understand the basics of the latin dances at its very core. Without her, I would not have advanced as fast because I learned the very basics properly. Silke is extremely thorough, helpful, and understanding of my strengths and weaknesses as a dancer. Even in a group setting she was able to correct me in her ever so gentle ways, without compromising the needs of the entire group. It was a competitor who referred me to Silke. She's highly regarded in the dance world.
